Go to Printers and Faxes, Add printer, add it as normal and when it comes to the point to install the driver click the Update Windows button, wait about 5 minutes We only use the XP V5.32 driver because all later drivers cause problems with placement of the output on the page, printing bitmaps, and printing multiple copies.

Better yet take a laptop that has never used the plotter and install the drivers on that, do you still get the problem? Now go to Control Panel/Printers and Add a Printer.
