Basically, the ethernet port isn't recognized, along with a couple of other small things, and I need a driver update for XP. After LOADS of searching everywhere I managed to get ethernet working by downloading these drivers (choose the proper OS): http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2775&lang=eng When I had networking I managed to solve some other issues And I need to update my bios to version 5.13 which is located here.
I have looked EVERYWHERE for over a week and this board isn't listed ANYWHERE, including the ASUS website. weedwacker View Public Profile Find all posts by weedwacker #6 12-05-2007 Jerry K Super Moderator Join Date: Sep 2003 Posts: 37,070 Re: DRIVER NEEDED: ASUS IPIBL-LA (Windows XP The time now is 08:22 AM.

Even Vista Business from MSDN wouldn't work properly because of lack of drivers. Bear in mind that these links pertain ONLY to the IBIBL-LA Asus motherboard used in the HP Pavilion a6245n Quad Core. I've looked up every single board they have and none matches mine. If it weren't for the HP website (which has no drivers either), you'd think this board doesn't even exist. May I add, for the Realtek ALC888S I found the following helpful: http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Asus-PK-WS-Realtek-ALC-Audio-Driver-Download-42220.html My search also turned up the following, though I didn't use it because the above resolved my issue: HP does not control and is not responsible for information outside of the HP Web site. He provided links to each and every driver I needed to get the ASUS up and running and by the time I finished downloading and installing I had no problems left Q6600
you have to understand manufacturing and selling to know what I mean. then contact them and take advantage of their tech help. My point in suggesting you or anyone else get in contact with HP directly is that my motherboard and computer is only one of a myriad of models sold by HP. I got fantastic service and help from the techie I talked too.
All rights reserved. movieguy seemed to have exhausted all his resources until he found the link he needed - he never suggested simply going to HP and asking for their help. When I get to the install I get an error message 9998 that says I don't meet the minimum requirements.
